Sima confirmed as main sponsor for Corby Highland Gathering 2026

Corby Highland Gathering has announced Sima, a National Branch within Unite the Union, as the main sponsor for this year’s event, taking place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July 2026 at Corby Charter Field in the Old Village.

The long-running community celebration will return with two days of traditional Scottish culture, sport and entertainment, attracting visitors from across Corby and across the UK.

This year’s programme will feature the classics, including the popular Highland Dancing competitions, pipe bands and the much-loved porridge eating contest, along with a wide range of craft and food stalls.

This year will also see the return of the popular strongman competition, with more details expected to be released shortly.

Organised by a volunteer committee, Corby Highland Gathering is one of the town’s most established annual events, reflecting its strong Scottish heritage and community spirit.

Gary Buchan, National Chair of SIMA, said: “SIMA is pleased to support Corby Highland Gathering as its main sponsor for 2026. The event brings people together, celebrates local heritage, and provides an important opportunity for the community to connect.

“We are proud to be backing an event that has such strong local roots and look forward to celebrating Corby’s Scottish heritage this summer.”

Mark Pengelly, from the Corby Highland Gathering Committee, said: “We are extremely grateful to SIMA for their support as our main sponsor. Sponsorship like this is vital in helping us deliver the event each year and keep it accessible for the whole community.

“Corby Highland Gathering is a volunteer run event, which relies on sponsorship to run each year, and SIMA’s support means our team can now focus on putting together a strong programme and making sure visitors have a great experience.”

The Corby Highland Gathering will take place on 11 and 12 July 2026 at Corby Charter Field in the Old Village, with activities running throughout both days.

Further details about the programme will be announced in the coming weeks.
